Westview Kids Ministry

We intend that every child feels safe, valued, and loved, and has a place where they can build friendships, have fun, and discover just how much Jesus loves them.

We exist to guide children in discovering Jesus’ love, to nurture their spiritual growth, and to create a safe, joyful environment where they can learn, play, and grow together on Sunday.

Core Values:

Safety - We create a secure environment where every child feels protected and cared for.

Connection - We encourage friendships and meaningful relationships among children and families.

Faith in Action - We help kids experience & understand God’s love in a fun, engaging way.

Worshipping as a Family

At Westview, we believe children are a vital part of our church family and that worshipping together matters. Kids will begin the morning in their classes. After the sermon, parents of children in Kindergarten through Grade 4 will be invited via a message on the screen to pick up their kids and return to the sanctuary to continue worshipping together with them.

Nursery and Preschool children will remain in their classes until the end of the service.

We look forward to welcoming your family!

Awana:

Update: October 15, 2026

Awana has been in a time of transition this summer / fall.  We have delayed starting Awana until we have enough leaders in place to run the ministry effectively.  We have many wonderful leaders who have already committed to serving this year in Awana, but there are still a number of roles to be filled or added to.  Specifically to launch, we need more Large Group Teachers for Sparks and T&T - to teach in rotation, two people in administration, a registrar, more general Group Leaders for Cubbies, Sparks and T&T.  We have, and value deeply, our Student Leaders who have committed to serving in Awana this year, however we still need more Adult age Leaders within each group so as to be compliant with our policies.  We will post another update soon, pending the response to the Leader need.

Sundays 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences! Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material, as they learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ.
