WHAT IS ALL ARE WELCOME WEDNESDAYS?

All Are Welcome Wednesdays is a chance for us to get together and connect with each other over a meal, discussion and prayer. There is programming for all ages. This is not another church service, but a time for more interaction and discussion, and to generally have fun and get to know each other better.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Since the Pandemic, we are seeing a desire and need for connection and community. We want people who come to church to know each other more, because growing in our faith happens in community. We want to provide an opportunity for conversation and connection to happen beyond Sundays, and our hope is that we all find that through All Are Welcome Wednesdays.

WHAT IF I’M NEW OR DON’T REGULARLY ATTEND WESTVIEW?

We call it All Are Welcome Wednesdays because all are welcome! If you’ve never stepped foot in the church before, that’s okay! You’re welcome here. If you’ve been coming to church your whole life, you’re also welcome here! Come and connect with us!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE EVENING?

We will begin with a meal. Sometimes they will be prepared by a meal team, and sometimes they will be a potluck style meal. We’ll eat in the gym around tables, and have a casual time of conversation. You can sit with friends, or find people you don’t know to mingle with. After dinner, we’ll dismiss the kids and youth to their programs, and the adults will head to the sanctuary for a time of conversation, discussion and prayer. The evening starts at 6:30 and finishes at 8:30.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We need lots of help to make this evening happen, and there are several teams that you can be a part of! You can find the list and sign up form here. Our aim is for you to only have to serve once a month on a team.

WHAT IF I CAN’T COMMIT TO SERVING, BUT I STILL WANT TO COME?

We realize not everyone is in a place to be able to commit to serving regularly. And that’s OK! You’re still welcome. We want you to be part of this community night anyway!
